Linger

This song was conceived over the course of several nights where I was completely enraptured, awake and set ablaze by the tangible presence of God. I remember my entire body was physically heated and feeling like every cell was buzzing with the joy of the spirit. I could barely contain myself, and my thoughts were nothing other than pure adoration, worship and feeling continuously undone by the immeasurable love of God. Time was irrelevant, and the energy of His love was like fuel during the days in between. I felt like every revelation I had up until this point was deepened in yet another experiential understanding of “BE”-ing. The Lord began to drop these poetic lyrics into my heart and I could tangibly feel His desire for our awareness to rest upon His nearness in every moment. It was written and sung from His perspective.

The track opens with the sound of breathing. When we still our minds and bodies and come back to our breath, the simple realization that we ARE begins to take precedent. The Hebrew word for “breath” and “spirit” are the same! When we let the present moment be our place of focus, we are exercising our eternal spirit, the part of us that is in complete union with God. Linger is all about the present moment, worship in spirit and truth expressed through increasingly constant awareness of He who has made His home within us.

I believe this song carries the frequency of that awareness, as an open invitation into the inexpressible yet ever-available AGAPE love of God!

The Waters         

The Waters

This song seemed to drop straight out of Heaven after an incredibly powerful encounter I had with MEM מ

Mem is the 13th Hebrew letter, and there are endless mysteries to discover within, but the main representation is “water”. In recent years, I have been led by Papa God to study frequency, especially in relation to healing and music. Foundational physics explains how everything is made up of matter, which is made of energy (or frequency/waves). Science tells us that water is a powerful carrier of frequency, and also holds MEMory. As I questioned and sought the Lord about these things, He began to unveil pieces of some of the mysteries in the Word about water. Just a few examples that you can search out for your own enjoyment:

Genesis 1:7 So God made the expanse (firmament, space, dome), and separated the waters above from the waters below.

Proverbs 18:4 The words a man speaks are deep waters, a flowing stream, a fountain of wisdom.

John 2:1-11 (my summary) Jesus turns water into wine at a wedding, His first miracle.

Matthew 14:25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.

I had been enjoying reading the Bible with this new lens on water for some time. Then, one evening I was spending time with the Lord, and He brought me into a new realm, a realm of MEM. There was water EVERYWHERE! I have a familiar “garden in my heart” where I will often begin daydreaming while I pray and enjoy time with God, but this was all new! First, there was a waterfall that Jesus brought me to stand underneath while He opened up mysteries within it, then a deep stream that we dove into, then a well that seemed never ending but oh, so blissful! And finally, His fountain. He opened up the fountain from within His heart, and the waters of life streamed forth. As I drank these waters, I could feel them welling up within my own heart like never before, and then MY heart burst forth with these waters of life and JESUS drank. We were like children, completely drenched, dancing and laughing and drinking unabandoned! I know this may be too much for some people, but this experience changed my life, and water has never been the same. I can be doing something as monotonous as washing the dishes or pouring a glass of water and lose myself for a moment in the joy of Oneness with Christ.

Psalm 87:7 Those who sing and those who dance will say, “All my fountains of joy are in You!”

Song of Songs 5:1 (tPt) I have tasted and enjoyed My wine within you.

John 7:38 Whoever believes in Me, as Scriptures have said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

Revelation 22:1 And the angel showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

The last thing I feel led to share, is that MEM also signifies REMEMBERANCE. The Word is clear that we are “born from above”, that He KNEW us before He created the foundations of the world, and His thoughts, which outnumber the grains of sand, are for our good! As you immerse yourself in “The Waters”, may you find new depths, heights, widths and breadths of your very place of origin – the LOVE of GOD!

Oh, how I treasure this dance of life with the Trinity!

The lyrics and composition of these songs unfolded over a two week period where I was hardly sleeping, purelymesmerized throughout the night hours by the manifest Presence and wonder of the Lord!

Song of Songs 5:2 I slept but my heart was awake. Listen! My beloved is knocking: “Open to me, my sister, my darling, my dove, my flawless one. My head is drenched with dew, my hair with the dampness of the night.”

I had been marinating in Song of Solomon (let’s be honest, when am I not! LOL!), and in an epic afternoon prayer session, I had an encounter with the GAZE of Yeshua…

SoS 2:9  My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Look! There he stands behind our wall, gazing through the windows, peering through the lattice.

This verse leapt off of the pages to me, and in a new way, I saw every gateway (window/lattice) in my soul, spirit, body, consciousness, unconsciousness, history, future… and I saw my Beloved, gazing through them. His gaze is so full of pure, unadulterated lovingkindness infinite in measure and completely un-seperatable from us! His unconditional love sees nothing but His truth over us, the fact that we are born from His idea, and created as His masterpiece. In that moment, I was not even allowed to have a thought that wasn’t His. The second that I tried to say something like, “but, Jesus…” it was plucked from my heart! I was so undone, and so wrecked by the beauty and incandescent love in His eyes, I don’t think I moved or spoke for several hours! The more I looked, the more I saw. His eyes hold every fiber of who we are. Every moment, whether good or bad, is filled with Him! As I gazed, His eyes opened bigger and bigger and I saw mini movies of moments of my life, snapshots of everything even from in the womb. And I saw hard moments through His eyes too, which was very different than my perspective, and incredibly healing! There are depths of healing that He can take us to in a mere moment if we allow it! The key is… to LET HIM. INTIMACY = INTO ME, SEE.

SoS 1:2  Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is more delightful than wine.

This moment was like a firestarter for the next season of my life, and an entrance to a new flow in the sound. The newly experienced depths of the love in His eyes had me hungrier than I had ever been in the past. After this, I began experiencing times in union with the Lord where I honestly can’t describe what was happening in the spirit, but my body would be awake all night, buzzing as if every cell was alive in awestruck worship, and my mind in complete ecstasy… enraptured by the captivating love of God! I was energized throughout the day, and on FIRE at night!

Drenched came to me in the following weeks, as many of these nights I was so full of the fire in His eyes, that I was literally sweating! The bliss of Spirit-to-Spirit relationship with Yahweh is just… truly indescribable. “Drenched” is the heart’s response to His transformative gaze.

“Have me, completely…” This is the absolute heart-cry of those who love the Lord, and He is ever so moved by that desire in us! Everything changes in a moment when we let Him have our whole mind, soul, and body.

Song of Songs 1:2-3 – Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth- for Your love is more delightful than wine. Pleasing is the fragrance of Your perfumes; Your Name is like perfume poured out.

This sounds so poetic and beautiful, but to be honest, for most of us it is very difficult to surrender so completely… even to our Beloved, Holy, and Perfect Father, Son and Spirit God! Yahweh is a song that came spontaneously after several weeks of my heart feeling like it was on constant display, unravelling decades old unrealized pain and thought patterns that habitually developed from said pain. We all carry more than He meant for us, and we are all in the process of growing, becoming more and more like Him. As we allow the Lord to “filet” our heart issues, we find greater capacity for what truly matters – the unseen, eternal things. Love, hope, faith, relationship, just to name a few!

2 Corinthians 4:18  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

I highly recommend doing a study on the original Hebrew name YHVH! We technically don’t know the exact pronunciation, because the vowels are not there in the original language. It is a holy, sacred name and therefore was considered “unspeakable”. Each Hebrew letter has layers of meaning beyond what I could unpack, but some of what speaks to me is:

Y (yod) signifies the infinitely discoverable God, the single point from Whom all creation emerges, the foundation of all foundations

H (hei) is in the shape of an open window, and means “Look!”, “Behold!”; it also means “breath”, more specifically “breath of life” or “spirit-breath”. God added a H to Abram’s name, the father of His holy nation

V (vav) is shaped like a tent peg and signifies the connection between Heaven and earth. It also represents the number 6, and the day mankind was created!

Please be encouraged to dig this out for yourself and give the revelation of this beautiful Name of God a moment of prayer and meditation. It will change the way you sing/speak it!

Proverbs 18:10  The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
